MALIBLU! :)

that's my og for the uclss orientation, spirited away :) we got 2nd for the orientation. there were 6 groups altogether, not 2. haha. i don't have any pictures to post so i'll wait for the orientation pictures to be up somewhere.

the orientation was held in pasir ris park inside inside there where a bungalow chalet was booked for housing us. as always, the orientation turned out ok. made friends with freshers and seniors. it was quite good lor actly. maybe cos of the higher level of freedom and the games were less lame. haha. so the first day started out with icebreakers and we broke the ice. played those lame icebreaker games and it was a good start. after that was like mass icebreaker and then we had to find out 2 fake freshers. the male fake fresher was in my og. we felt so cheater ): haha.

after that played some games. there was this race where we had to transport water using plastic bag with holes, eggshells, mouths, hands and there were restrictions. my group sucked at it. haha. after that was an intellectual game. the 1st part we had to memorise 2 horizontal lines of the periodic table, the picadilly line of london with 40 stations and a fried rice recipe. so 4 of us memorise the recipe, this guy william memorised the periodic table before so he did the 2 lines on his own like WOAH. the rest did the tube line. and i think we are the only group with full points for that station. haha. william is not doing chem, he's doing econs. haha. 3rd game was captain's ball. they tricked us into thinking that the first game was played with a pineapple and i volunteered and it turned out to be papaya. ultra uber gross. the 2nd game was cabbage, 3rd game soap. after 3 games. the score was 0-0. so there was a 3min extra with cabbage and my group won with 1 point. the final score was like 1-0. haha.

after that just sat around and then dinner. i left after dinner because night game was water game and i was having my time of the month. damn. everybody said it was damn fun. my og won, but there were no points so they felt cheated for a 2nd time. haha. anyway, good thing i went home cos there was absolutely no space for over a hundred people. some people had to sleep on the corridors and outside. and some went all the way to dte to bathe.

went back the next morning for the murder mystery. omg i felt so useful. we had to travel around the east (pasir ris, airport, tampines, bedok, hougang, dakota) to get clues by playing games. and most in my group dunno the east. they stay in like west, north but not east. haha. i was an asset. haha. we got the clues and we had fun guessing the storyline which involved lingerie, gays and duh a murder. haha. quite interesting la but i think the stations are too far we spent too much money and time travelling. we were the first group back and then after finishing our story, we continued playing lame big group games. haha. and then came a confession.

there was a 3rd year medic in my group who crashed the orientation. and he's from imperial. when asked why he chose ucl, he said cos the buildings are very quaint -.- cheated x3. my og kept getting cheated ): but it was so interesting. it was like another case on its own haha.

that night there was a bbq for us to meet our seniors and mentors. learnt more about life in london and stuff. and it's the first bbq i attended where i stayed indoors the entire time. haha. went home after that when my og started leaving one by one. hitched a ride out yay :)

didn't go for the warwick games today cos there was some temple thing go and bai4 my ah ma. i wanted to bai4 her before i flew so yah. skipped the games. and my og dun wan to go for the imperial clubbing event. i dun mind going so maybe i will just see if i know enough people who are going then i crash their ogs or sth. make friends ma hor?

overall, the orientation was fun and yah made new friends, learnt more about studying there and i'm glad i went :D and we are having an og dinner on monday. yay.
