OMG 20 MORE DAYS. ok so on thursday i went for my medical examination. got a little lost at tanjong pagar but eventually found my way. took about an hour. there was a urine test, then the doctor asked some questions. pressed my stomach here and there, look at my eye and then i went to another building to take my xray. i've never taken x-ray before. so i was a little surprised when i saw the xray machine, whatever you call it. i always thought they looked like this...

after that met up with my mummy to go shopping at mph. spent $60. and that's cos my mum bought a recipe book and we bought a nice pen for my father. i shall wait for the one at raffles city to open. it's supposed to be the biggest. hopefully.

ok what did i do on friday? OH I PACKED MY LUGGAGE. OMG OMG OMG. i kinda packed everything that i no longer need for the next 3 weeks. so im left with a few pieces of clothing. so i'll be wearing the same few clothes repeatedly. haha. sorry i kiasu i start packing. because if i don't, my room very messy. haha.

saturday went to watch Chestnuts 3D : FRIED MONTY aka A Nightmare on GLEE Street. really good show. funny, entertaining, interesting. though i didn't understand some parts, like the glee part, cos i didn't watch the show. love the ivory low part and the part when jonathan lim acted as kit chan and sang national day songs and december rain songs alternatedly. omg coooooooool.

today, there was supposed to be a 6c21 gathering but due to the erm lack of response, i decided to cancel it. i'm quite disappointed, but i understand everybody is busy with their own lives and maybe this class has never given much to be a priority so yah. i don't think i will have the chance to see them before i fly, so if you read this, thanks for being my classmate and enduring all my erm moods. i know you think i'm great you don't have to say it out i understand :)

ah well, frankly speaking, i don't like this class but i still appreciate you guys :)

210810 Saturday

Went to NUS with weiliang to visit Jolene and have lunch. We met at Lavendar MRT because i couldn't bear the utterly long ride by myself. Got a bit lost with the bus and at the campus and there were so many stairs. Damn tiring. Finally made our way to her hall and she came out to fetch us to her room. messy, but neater then her room at home -.- haha. went to munchie monkeys for lunch. the food isnt bad and the desserts come in HUGE portions. like HUGE.


right?

After that, we went to Nanyang Supermarket at PGP. oooh PGP is so nice, like condo, but sooooo far from everything (other than the supermarket). and no, jolene and i cannot walk out of supermarkets empty handed so we each bought things. heh. weiliang loves the smell and feel of the supermarket :D

Sunday 220810
Went out to makan with weiliang, shunjie and quanyi. met up with wl and sj first because qy was late and i highly suspect he didn't wake up until i smsed him. we wanted to try Food for Thought but it's closed on sunday ): so we went to nando's. oooh the food is nice. i think its worth it to go again. the chicken is really tender. but the hot peri peri is really hot. you've been warned. we didn't dare try the extra hot peri peri. haha. i had to add tomato sauce. lol.

Went for lunch with my mum and grandaunt. i eat with my grandaunt every week now before i fly. must make full use of the time before i fly. so filial :D hahahahahahaha. we had lunch at the kopitiam at vivo then we walked around and had dessert at shin kushiya cos there was tea time special. ya dessert and drink again la. hahahaha.


i tried the tofu cheesecake. interesting texture like a jelly cheesecake. it's quite yummy. but really small.

230810 Tuesday
Went to queensway with jolene. had lunch at jack's place anchorpoint where the food will ensure that i won't return anytime soon and jolene bought 2 tank tops and 3 shorts. the same type but different colours -.- she spent money. then we went to queensway shopping centre and looked for boots for jolene to play in the mud. she finally settled for a green nike pair. she spent money again.

240810 Wednesday
Went back to school to collect my prize. what prize? ok so 1 fine day earlier this year, some lady called me and told me i got a dsta book prize of $200 and all i have to do is to verify my details. i thought it was a scam but still verified my details because all i did was say ya. after that dryap emailed me and woohoo it's not a scam :D so i waited and waited and waited and finally there was news of the prize. so i went to collect. i was hoping it was a cash prize but it's $200 worth of mph vouchers. add that to my $30 kinokuniya vouchers from speech day and $30 popular voucher (which i have no idea how/where/when to collect), that's a lot of bookstore vouchers i have. haha. but still, yay :D

after that, went to city hall to meet leeyan. went into marina square, and 5 mins later, leeyan has a new shirt. hahahaha. she spent money. then we walked around somemore and had lunch at pepper lunch. and shopped. leeyan bought a adidas jacket from royal sporting house. she spent money. sorry, because i'm trying not to shop and spend money, i shop through people. hahaha.

then we walked to bugis cos she needed to buy monopoly deal for jolene (spending more money) from popular. walked up and down bugis street and went to j.co cos i wanted to sit down and i needed aircon and i wanted yogurt. leeyan read a pokemon comic book and i read enid blyton. so childish. but i loved enid blyton last time.

ok and now for the highlight. there's a pasar malam downstairs. first pasar malam since i moved here. ok this is not the highlight, i just wanted to mention it.

today, as i was walking into school, i received a call from the British tourism board saying that i won the Voice of Britain competition. all i did was sign up for it at the uk pre-departure fair at suntec in july. and i signed up cos i wanted the free t-shirt. hahahahaha. i wrote my name, blog address and contact details. that's all.

ok basically the voice of britain thing is like this: "Simply use Facebook, Twitter, your blog or other social networking platforms to spread the word about your Britain experience! Went to the airport to have lunch before our 1.35pm flight. my brother went to send us off. after lunch, when we proceeded to check-in, we found out that the flight has been delayed till 6plus. ~!@#$%^&* so we hung around inside. good thing changi airport has things to do, places to shop, food to eat. and we were each given $8 credit to eat -.- so we arrived macau at like 10plus. we rushed like mad to the ferry terminal only to realise we missed the last ferry to kowloon island. so we went to hongkong island and took a taxi over to our hostel. the hostel is called Tai Wan Hostel, located in Tsim Sha Tsui. when we reached, we were told we have no rooms, because the china receptionist said the previous china guests dunno do what and the toilet is clogged and the whole room stinks. he refused to show us the room (so we guessed our room was given away). so we had no choice and we 流浪街头 for the night. we went for supper, then camped at macdonalds -.-

since we were up and about so early, we went to the wholesale fruit market to look see look see. its just a huge place with many stalls preparing to sell their fruits to smaller markets and stalls. and many topless man unloading fruits from the lorry. the fruits were not for purchase from random shoppers like us though ): after that we had breakfast at a nearby place and had the worse dimsum ever. even thinking about it makes me want to puke. up till here, i've had the best holiday ever. after that we went to board superstar aquarius, had lunch and SLEPT! omg i love sleeping. and then we just enjoyed being on the cruise :D after supper we spend HKD40 to use the internet on board to cancel our next stay at Tai Wan Hostel and booked a 4star hotel on offer. haha. huge upgrade. lol.

Reached Anping, Tainan. i found out the wrong harbour from google maps, so i thought it was a short walk from the harbour to the touristy area and it turned out to be a very long walk. but we reached and we saw what we wanted to see. haha. photos are on facebook. the place with all the roots is the anping treehouse. it's a house that was built and trees starting growing all around and over it. ohh and OMG the oyster omelette is like SLURP! best one i've eaten :D

Reached Taichung. the harbour is far far away so we just got down and got a cab for the whole day at a standard rate after telling the driver where we wanted to go. we went to the wuci fishing harbour, lugang township, baguashan to see the big buddha which was under renovation -.- taichung city - metropolitan park and fengjia night market. all we did was eat. the park was lame. the taxi driver insisted on bringing us there. so we got down at the park, crossed the room to the shopping mall and shopped for a while. hahahahha. wooo love the night market :D

Reached Keelung. went to ruifang for lunch and my baked sweet potato :D continued up to jinguashi. hiked a bloody long way to see the yinyang sea. the route ahead (the curly curly one) scared us so we see the sea from far. hitched a bus back down to jiu fen. we had spare time, so we took a bus to taipei to do shopping. bought facial masks at a very cheap rate. haha. then we went to the keelun miaokou night market. i love night markets.

whole day onboard the cruise. we just slept and recharged. and they had this fruit buffet. omg love it :D and there was a farewell chocolate buffet at night. wheeeeeeeeee~

reached hongkong! checked in at our 4star hotel at quarrybay on hongkong island. then we went for dimsum lunch at a place we found last time at paterson street. the dimsum so yummy :D then we went to the hk botanical and zoological gardens. it's free. the zoo part only had monkeys. but i didn't find thaddeus there. oops! then we went to the peak for a walk and to see the view. love the view :D then we went for dinner i forgot what we ate but u can look at facebook. ohhhh we ate at a dai pai dong in stanley. yummmmmmmmmmmy. then we walked around and went to lankwaifong beer bar for happy hour. i had a what you call that they serve in the triangular cup. i suddenly forgot the name.

went to cheung chau for a hike. hahahah. so hot and so long. but eat so much must exercise la hor? but the main point is, after the walk we had a very delicious seafood lunch which was cheap. the kind of price you never get in singapore. and their carrot soup very nice, can fight with mine. hahahahahaha. after that, we went SHOPPING! bought so many things but none of the things i set out to buy (winter coat/boots) -.-

we headed over to macau. after reaching macau we went to zhuhai which is like you get up the ferry then u get down already. even closer then jb is to singapore. haha. wanted to go for cheap seafood at the wanchai area, but the people were scamming us so we left and went to the gongbei border. walked ard at the largest underground shopping complex in somewhere and had this damn feng fu cheap meal. please go see the photos. we had like so many items and the total cost was like $20plus, less then 30. amazing and yummy. and so crowded eat already also shiok. haha. headed back to macau which is just like cross the customs u reach alrdy. dun even need a bus. lol. wanted to go see the dog racing, but we were too early and there wasn't anything to do nearby so we just went off to look see the casinos.

spent the day in macau, went to eat the famous margaret's portuguese egg tarts. oh damn yummmmmmmmy. best egg tarts i've had. like slurp slurp yumyum. we all had seconds. went to st paul's and then we went to the cotai strip which is supposedly like a mini vegas but i nv go vegas before so i dunno whether is it a mini vegas. but the casinos and hotels are so grand. so we went casino hopping, i went to survey all their toilets, watched shows and yah. i mean, it's macau so must go casino. haha. love the non-smoking ones. the nicest toilet is in grand lisboa. the nicest casino is city of dreams. and the nicest lobby is also grand lisboa. grand lisboa is the pineapple shaped building that can be seen from everywhere. my theory is that it is really shaped after a pineapple because pineapple is 'ong lai' (fortune come in canto) so yah it's a casino and the money must roll in. the toilet has hanging crystals (the black one with the dangling things) and the lobby has all these art pieces which are really wow and there is this 200 over carat diamond and emerald. flawless, supposedly (the certs say so). and 200 over carat each hor, not altogether. lol.

home sweet home. the macau airport has nothing. it was a boring wait -.- came home and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

ok so since the last post, i went to the bird park with my mama. she collects owls so yah. haha. i prefer the zoo cos im more interested in like 4 limbed things then birds. and a lot of the birds were repeated so it's like looking at the same things over and over again. but it was still nice. i got bitten by mosquitoes. thank god i wore like trackpants. so smart of me :D hehheh.

i can't rmb what happened on thurs and friday so i think nth much happened. haha.



saturday went for some pre-departure gathering held by the ucl singsoc. met some other fellow students and found another guy doing civil eng. learnt some useful stuff from the seniors. more useful then the suntec one. after that john very kindly fetched the dunmanians to dunman high for homecoming. 6c21 didn't have a table so i kind of floated around. mainly at the 6c12 table where i helped to bbq and at the 6c34 table where i just helped myself. haha.



it was good seeing people i haven't seen in ages like tommmmmmmy and jiaqi and yuxuan :D and erm june. see june, i dun discriminate against you :D really june i lurbe you :D though i dun think i will hug you around the waist and yah :D

was supposed to go for supper and midnight movie with shunjie and weiliang but i left early with leeyan because i was smelly and sticky and tired. so i didn't get to see weiliang. but nvm because i went out with him today.


i like this picture :D monday went to marina bay with my mother. took a look inside marina bay sands. still lots of renovations going on so can't say much about the interiour. it's huge. took a walk down the helix bridge. rmb i said it looks like part of the construction? it still does. but walking through it is a different feeling. it's really nice. the way the steel twist and turn and interlink to form the curved bridge is really pretty. walked to boat quay where we lunched and some place and had a crabby meal :D


today this poor guy have an off day but nobody else is free to go out with him so i took the sacrifice. before meeting him i went to pass my brother sth who was at tampines for some nus flag day with his og. saw keok :D so funny to see my friend and my brother in the same og. lol. met up with weiliang and we ate and talk and ate and talk and ate and talk for 5 hours at 3 places and under $15 :D yay. htht wor. hahahahahaha.

ok so anyway, saturday went to some pre-ukdeparture thingy at suntec. basically a lot of general information which can be found in many places and being the free soul i am, i've found them so i didn't really learn anything new. just signed up at a lot of places and got a free go london tshirt which is too small for me because they can only find the 's' size -.- after that went to bugis to walk around and then met up with jolene and leeyan to eat steamboat. jerome was sleeping and wenyi had to rush a project. and leeyan's gaydar was like i dunno, on full alert. lol. and she ate a lot of balls, jolene ate a lot of corn and i ate a lot of grass. lol. met up with wenyi later and headed to shuangyuan where we just sat down and talked and waited for weiliang. and of course sit down and talk must eat :D hehheh.

today, fetched my brother to nus to book in, went to collect free corni-ware and brought hugo to the vet for annual vaccination.


my father left to collect the corni-ware and hugo went frantic in the car, kept looking out. so cute :D

jolene, leeyan, grace and daphne are like neighbours. i am so jealous. makes me think about my accom. baaaaa. 53 more days!!!

Had MND award presentation rehearsals. really, what is there to say about rehearsals? ok so i got to know other scholars. and we learnt when and where to walk up and down the stage -.-

Had the MND induction program. so basically we just went to visit the various stat boards. URA: URA centre, BCA: BCA academy, AVA: labs @ limchukang, HDB: toapayoh HDB hub, NParks: Singapore Garden Festival. the NParks one was the most interesting cos there was like erm no coporate video screening. hahahaha. the AVA one was the most traumatising one cos i saw fishes being killed with a snip. eeeee. and got to know the other scholars better. i mean there's pretty nothing else much to do when you are with them the whole day, you make friends.

ended too late to go back to dhs for the sharing session so i went to turf club with my family. to watch horse racing ocs i never see before. so before going in, i told my father i want to bet on horse number 4 for the first race we will be watching. so i bet $5 and horse number 4 won. hahahahaha. the horse's name is Recycle World. oh and it was like a hot favourite so the payout wasn't too good but i won $3 and it covered the entrance fee. hehheh. after that we went to yishun for supper :D yummy :D

went to the expo with shunjie and jolene to go to the food and electronics fair. didn't get any food (OMGOMGOMG), jolene took a lot of flyers and shunjie bought his camera. after that we went to the flea market where jolene went crazy and started buying a lot of things because they were cute. the tarot cards reading was too expensive or we would have tried. haha. went to bugis where jolene's clsmates were so late and the 2 of us went off with kim, yiwei, ziren and waisiang for lunch at the jappy place with hightech ordering system. food wasn't ok. love the ordering system. haha. after that met up with chikong to watch inception. no spoilers, but the movie really isn't as complicated as everybody made it out to be. it's good. love it. but leo dicaprio is getting old. after that met up with weiliang to go to the night fest which is so not our thing so we left and had supper at tcc. reached home at like 2plus.

URA get-together session. basically an event for scholars and their families to meet the management and our mentors. my mentor was an ex-dunmanian and also ex-npcadet. lol such a small world. haha. after that there was another rehearsal -.- and after the rehearsal met up with my family and i treated them to seafood. yummy :D

MND award presentation. ok so finally the actual ceremony. no more rehearsals :D the feeling of getting the award from the minister was like woah. like erm HAHA IT'S MINE! ok it's basically a happy feeling. and the eclairs were yummy. hahahaha. ok la other than happy and like proud, i dunno how to describe anymore so yah.

went to the zoo with my mummy. i fed the giraffes :D 5 bucks leh. i think the zoo is worth the money. and i like the splash safari show. we caught all the shows and some feeding times. after the zoo we went to amk to eat dinner and meet my father and brother. then we went to the night safari. o.m.g. such a waste of time and money. the night safari is like there are zones of animals which can only be seen if we take the tram ride. but the tram ride is like an additional $10. if animals can only be seen from the tram, then shouldn't they just incorporate the tram ride fee into the entrance fee? i feel damn cheated. like i pay to go in and see air and see people get on the tram. good thing 3 out of 4 of the tickets were free. so we just went to see whatever animals we can by walking and it isn't much because every enclosure we go to, we have to find damn hard and some of the animals can't even be seen. we just imagine they are there. urgh. love the zoo, but not the night safari.

went to foxtrot social night as huanjun's date. and people commented that his date very pretty. totally agree :D hahahaha. there was a rather awkward air among the girls cos we dunno anyone there except for some schoolmates we see here and there. food was alrights, but they kept clearing the plates before we finished the food and they never ask. the performances were nice, they reduced the need to talk over the table, but that defeats the purpose of the SOCIAL night. lol. and after the whole thing, hj and i weren't full enough, so we went for supper. haha.

ok since the last time i blogged, it seems like a lot of things happened, but nothing happened.

thurs went to make specs with jolene at 201 there. but the shop that huanjun recommended for lobang was closed. closed for the period from 5th to 8th july and also close every thurs -.- so we walked around and saw another shop with cheap specs. i couldn't decide on what to get so i didn't get. will go back again. jolene got hers though. after that went to t1 cos jolene had errands to run and then we headed to dte to watch despicable me. one word - cute.

It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!!! It's soOoO Flufffeehhh!

friday celebrated jolene's bday. went to sentosa early with shunjie grace and bobo to bury her groceries. stupid little nicole came up with this fantastic idea and didn't turn up -.- ok so jolene came and dig with help from us. we dug 4 holes and successfully found 3 but we couldn't find the last one. so many people helped we dug a huge area but we just couldn't find them. crabs stole them. we are such losers -.- so all we did was sit around in the shade. everytime we wanted to start playing frisbee something else happen and the game stops so we never play much. jolene got a cute tan though. haha. after that went to vivo. ate at marche. expensive oily vegetables. that was appetizer. then we went to bakerzin for desserts :D love love love. then we took an ultra butt hurting (but no extra hole) bus ride to leeyan's house to see her because her butt got extra hole -.- then we headed to simpang bedok for maincourse/supper. after that we urban hiked to jolene's house. walked for about 2 hours? haha but it didn't feel so long cos we were chatting and it was night so the weather was cooling. htht more at jolene's house and we self service our way out in the morning. ate breakfast with qy and wl then went home to sleep. zzz.

saturday night had a bbq at my cousin's condo. most expensive bbq ever. like ever. the meat and sausages were from the butcher. like not any other butcher, but The Butcher. and there were 2 fabulously ultra rich chocolate cake from Marriot. please make all bbq like that. yummmmmy :D
