Ok, I’m gna start all corny and cliché. OMGZXZXZXZ! This is the last post of 2008 already. OMGXZXZXZXZXZ! So fast worxzxzxz. Time really flies. Like WOOOOOSH! -.-

Ok so I skipped the whole 2007 recap thingy last year cos I was too lazy but now I have nothing to do so I shall erm 总结 my 2008.

So I shall start with what is like a bulk of my miserable little life – school. Ok fine I don’t have a miserable little life, in fact, I found 2008 rather enjoyable other than some like hiccups here and there.

Ok so it was the start of senior high life, which is JC if some aliens still do not know that yet. Yah it was busy here and there, especially when we had some little competitions which I’m sure will remain as really really fond memories in the hearts of the computing students.

Ok so 5c21 is a really interesting class. Interesting not as in the funny interesting way but the weird interesting way. Cos last year we (ok me and sj) were like OHNO! WE MUST STICK TGT OK? SO MANY WEIRD PEOPLE IN OUR CLASS! Then we formed this little outcast group with Jerome and june and we were supposed to play mahjong which we haven’t done so at all after a whole year. But I supposed it’s a nice class in its own way. It’s united in a very not united way. And u dun come across a class with a blackie, a hairy, a smelly, a bobo and a pointy everyday.

Oh I topped the class after a hiatus of like erm 8 years. Clap clap clap :D yah 8 years ago is p2. haha. And studying in 5c21 is a much more relaxing thing than previous years cos 1b2b is like so damn competitive. Like so damn damn damn competitive. And yah I’m competitive by nature. I like winning. Who doesn’t? and 3c4c isn’t really competitive other than a few here and there who like comparing marks, but mixing with people like jiaqi and yuxuan and sitting behind tina and Milan and in front of cuimeng is like oh I got 25/30! :D and then surrounding people will be like 27 28 29. so there was the ego-crushing factor. 5c21, or rather the people I mix with, all just want to pass -.- you all shldn’t you know. You all must work hard and aim higher ok? (what a failed attempt to sound encouraging, but I’m serious la)

Enough abt academics. Cca wise, sailing. Rather ok. Sometimes it’s not really enjoyable cos of lack of wind and what not. It’s very dependent on weather, a bit too much actually. But when there’s good wind, it’s good. And then there’s always the weird tanlines everywhere. But not as weird and ugly as those glove lines. Haha.

Ok and there was the cineodeon win with 50 movie tickets but the cinema is sooooo out of the way. Anyway I’ve used more than half. Probably will finish it by the time holidays end.

Ah enough about school.

There were a lot of first times this year also.
- I appeared in dunman link! Like OHHH FINALLY!!! Now I can graduate in peace :)
- I won my first lucky draw. You remember the National Treasure thingy? Don’t remember also nvm. Heh.
- I went to Taiwan, china, japan and Vietnam. Ok and hongkong also but that one not first time so yah.
- Ooooh HUGO’S BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! :D
- Went to my first qian chang hui and yan chang hui. Both caoge’s. and also the mini concert on cruise.
- Then there was the mini linyoujia concert also on cruise.
- Ok then I embarked on project weiliang and abandoned mission halfway cos the subject wasn’t cooperative.
- And it was also the first time all my uncles and aunts appeared together. All 13 siblings. The sad thing is it has to happen on such an occasion.

Ok that’s all I can rmb for now, so I suppose these are the more memorable ones.

As for resolutions… erm I don’t thing I’m making any. Hard to keep. Heh. But 2009 will be great I’m sure though we will all be really busy preparing for a lvls. i mean as of now, there are a few things to look forward to like mayday's autograph session next monday which yuki and quanyi said they will go :D and linjunjie's concert which weiliang said he will go. and linyoujia's concert that i said i will go with weiliang to camp and listen outside.

ok there's the countdown party at dte later got caoge but i dunno, maybe holidays then i put on weight now i feel too heavy to get off the sofa. ok fine im just lazy, hopefully the put on weight part isnt true. and then there's homecoming on friday but i dun feel like going cos it doesnt seem very interesting and then there is the 2b outing which i think i will give it a miss since well oh yah.

oh i'm cooking dinner tmr :D it's gna be a 4 course meal :D yumyumyum :D if im not too lazy, i will post pictures of my edible art pieces :D hehheh.

and ive decided to spend the first few days of 2009 in deep reflection of 2008 and think through seriously what i want to achieve in 2009 and about my future and all that stuff. hmm. i will do that by immersing myself in youtube for 娱乐百分百， 小鬼当家 and 霹雳MIT. yay. missed so many episodes alrdy. ohhh and i want to watch 我的亿万面包 too. 

Ok so erm HAPPY NEW YEAR!

yesterday was a horrible day.

first i wanted to bring my dog for grooming so i called the shop and he told me 12.30pm. ok so i left at ard 12.15 and i reached there at 12.25. the damn shop wasn't open so i waited cos i'm the early one so i cannot blame the person for being late. but shouldn't u open before the time ur customer is supposed to come? i waited until 12.30 shop not open. so i called the person and he told me he's reaching in 5mins. oooohhhkkkaaay..... i wait. 5 mins, no appearance. 10 mins, still no appearance. i got fedup and left. he called me at 1pm. that's nice.

and this isnt the first time alrdy. the first time i decided to use their free transport service, they came late to fetch hugo and also came late in returning hugo. then for convenience sake, i used they boarding services when i went overseas for 4 or 5 days i can't rmb. hugo came back smelling horrible with matted fur. horrible service.

ok so hugo didn't get groomed. he's getting groomed tomorrow by an experienced groomer who has quite good reviews.

ok so ytd i went to watch bedtime stories. very lighthearted story. i think it's rather creative though it also has some really cliche parts but if you want a laugh and a happy ending, you can try this. i haven't watched yesman. dang. oh the guinea pig in the movie is damn cute. bugsy is his name. haha.

ok so pissed off part 2 of the day happened after the movie. went to eat at koufu and the dessert shop service is horrible i tell you. i wanted tau suan. but they didnt have. so it went liddat.

me: 我要tausuan 跟 ...
B1: tausuan 卖完了 (walks away)
me: EH! i haven't finish my order!

* after some time *

B2: 你要什么？
me: chendol 跟 icekacang 红豆而已
B2: (gives me chendol and icekacang with corn all over)
me: 我要红豆而已 (stresses on 而已)
B2 to B3: 她要红豆而已
B3: (scoops the corn out of the icekacang together with the ice such that my icekacang looks more like a column then a pyramid)
me: 你把我一半的冰那掉, 给我一个新的.
B3: (stare at me but she has no choice cos who as her scoop my ice away?)

don't tell me i'm unreasonable. everybody hawker selling icekacang knows that red bean only means only ice syrup and red bean. since when has corn been red bean? corn is yellow for goodness sake. and you do not give your customer half the kacang because you prepared the order wrongly.

B does not stand for banana. i leave it up to your imagination as to what B stands for.

ok i ended horrible day watching 娱乐百分百 on youtube so it was ok cos the show is funny.

today was a great day. i didn't do anything. all i did was slack around. i like.

oh i just finished this hk serial called 東山飄雨西關晴. there's this guy inside super cute. he's called 蕭正楠 edwin siu.







he's 31 you know. don't look like right? looks abit like 郑伊建. and some pictures look like 周星驰. but cuter :D ah damn cute. and he's 1.8m. he's bday is 4days before mine :)

speaking of my bday, really nobody want go watch linjunjie concert with me ah? ):

Ok last Friday went for a family bbq at costa sands. Nth much. just eat then talk then eat then talk then eat…

Ok Saturday went to watch ipman with my parents and brother. If you aren’t the Chinese kungfu / history type, the show will bore you to death. But cos I’m interested in all these Chinese kungfu people and Chinese history (yes I’m interested in Chinese history I liked acc I just dun like hving to memorise the nitty gritty details for tests) so it was a good show. Donnie yen is cool. And there were bits of humour injected here and there so it wasn’t all that dry. But yah strictly for those interested in Chinese kungfu and all that stuff only. Cos the whole show was basically talking about the life of 叶问 who happens to be bruce lee’s master. So if u dun even knw that, don’t bother please. It’s a bit like 霍元甲 but I think叶问 more interesting. 霍元甲 was kinda boring. I’m talking abt the movies ah not the people. They are great people.

Wanted to watch yesman also cos klp is really damn inaccessible but we didn’t have time, so maybe we will watch it this Saturday tgt with bedtime stories. Im watching a lot of movies. i used more than half my tickets alrdy. Dun think they can last me till next year.

Sunday I totally overslept and forgot I wanted to check out the kickboxing lessons at the tampines sth cc. oops. Maybe this Sunday I will rmb. I think I hv sth on this Saturday but I can’t rmb. Hmm…

Ok Christmas in 3 days. Ok it’s not such a big deal. I dun celebrate Christmas. But I’m gna hv a Christmas meal somewhere I dunno where. Scotts I think. Or somewhere in scotts? My mother say must wear red and green -.-

I’m working till next wedsnesday, which is the last day of December which is also the last day of the year. And ok it’s nth special as well. I’m still contemplating if I want to go to dte to see caoge and countdown. And I still hven found anybody to go to linjunjie’s concert with me. Ok I hven decided which ticket to buy anyway. But I really wanna go.

Oh my god. Why am I so indecisive? *gasp*

Ok now I shall go calculate how much money I wanna draw out to splurge. Yay. I love earning money.

OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH!!! TANGYUZHE’S NEW ALBUM COMING SOON EARLY 2009 :D Ok I’m more excited over the album cover then how he will sound like. And maybe the prospects that he will come to Singapore. Hehheh.

Didn’t work ytd. Went back to school to help out with the filming of the homecoming video.

Supposed to be me Jolene shunjie and tiffany but shunjie and tiffany got sent out of school cos of their unblack hair. Yah I supposed they are the two that mr teo mentioned in the recently sent email. Lol. So left me and Jolene. It was fine, not to say nothing much to be done, but 4 would probably have been overstaffing alrdy. But I supposed it would have been more fun cos yah we didn’t have anything to say to the yr6s except filming instructions.

The whole filming process was ok. Quite smooth I supposed. The filming of the band performing was damn hilarious. Kenghoe kept jumping out of the picture and xueling and cindy looked at each other but nv at the same time. And me and Jolene were kinda amused by the whole xueling shi zou shu nv lu xian thing.

the school is erm well… unfinished. The hall is nice and airconditioned. Ok that’s it. The classroom chairs remind me of coffeeshops and funerals. Oh the statue of kongzi not there yet. Haha.

Ok after that supposed to watch bolt with some 5c21 people cos long time nv see them alrdy but then only june and shunjie were free. So I asked hj along (rmb the sms ytd?) Then shunjie was too lazy to go all the way to kallang leisure park so left me june and hj. Then I decided to ask leeyan along cos I haven’t seen her in a long time. So yah it became me june ly and hj.

And you think that’s the end? NO!

June went missing! Cos shunjie didn’t tell her the location and june went to tampines mall. So interesting. So she didn’t come down in the end. And I alrdy bought the tickets so it was 3 people with 4 tickets. Then there was a bunch of house comm people there so I went to ask them if any of them wanted to watch. Free also no one want. So no choice lor. Ly asked a few people if they wanted but everybody wanted to watch four Christmases so too bad lor.

Ok so in the end I was the only 5c21 person -.- ok so I supposed I will only see them at class chalet? If I go la. and if they go. Oh and the whole objective was to see june who misses me and the objective wasn’t met. Sobx ):

Oh wait. I forgot to talk about bolt. Ok it’s a really cute show. But sooooo predictable. If u go for cute talking animals, yah it’s good. But if u want a movie that got more substance, go for twilight. I really like twilight. Hahahahahaha.

I wanna watch ipman, yesman, bedtimestories and ytd saw the trailer of a new movie coming next year called the dog hotel. Looks damn interesting.

I WANT TO RUN THE 21KM HALF MARATHON NEXT YEAR. YAY.

ok so basically, cruised with my parents, Jolene shunjie and weiliang from Sunday to wedsnesday.

Ok so cruising with friends means I get to join more activities on board cos I wouldn’t join them alone. But it also means much lesser sleep cos yah join more activities ma. And less privacy and less freedom and I dare not swim. Haha.

Ok so we joined cardio combat :D hehheh. The instructor said wl not enough power and he said (ok signalled) I’m good :D yay. I am so going to learn some form of boxing one day. I am talented. HAHHAHHAHAHAHA. And shunjie was more of cheerleading then boxing. Lol.

Ok shopping at penang. Didn’t buy anything. But we gave weiliang a mini makeover. We added colours to his wardrobe. He really looks better with the new clothes and bright colours. We should all wear colours. Black and white sooooooooooo boring.

We taught weiliang how to swim in phuket. And the tanning session wasn’t very successful cos the sun was hiding behind the clouds. We had facial. 359baht for 65mins. Other than the removing blackheads and whiteheads part which was freaking painful and gave me a nose that looks poisonous, the facial was good.

Oh then the last day was a full day on board so we went for the gameshows and stuff. The 3 of them went for the murder mystery thingy while I slept and only weiliang the noob didn’t get a medal. Then we went to watch the weakest link (woooooo~) and then after that got some personality thingy in which we have to guess which of the crew member on the panel did what. I got 6 out of 20 and it was the highest score and I got a medal. Lol.

Ok now for the highlight.

HOTTIES ALERT! Hohohohohohohohohohohohohohohoho! Saw this pair of brothers who look good. Got shape just a bit lacking in height. The younger brother is called nigel and we named the older one ryan. They have this little brother whom we named johnnycitis (a form of disease). Ok so after my radar got activated that they exist, we kept bumping into them. And then when we disembarked, while waiting for the luggage, my mother said they kept looking over. I tell u, the looking is mutual. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh then I bumped into them at the taxi stand and they smiled AT ME. Oooooh~ melt. Ok end of alert. I kinda forgot how they look like. Must ask shunjie for photo. Hoho.

saturday went to esplanade to help out with some photo/video taking of some dialogue thingy abt singapore films dvd vol.2. easy 2hrs of cip :D haha. saw huanjun at the esplanade and the first thing he said when he saw me was bloody hell. totally can feel how much he cherises me as a friend. totally. thanks buddy :D HAHA. and he dao my sms. or maybe cos my sms is like "eh bloody hell. u free tmr? i wanna date you" hahahahahahaha."

oh i went to watch twilight after tht with my parents and brother. i think it's a great movie. go watch. recommended :D i'm not an idiot, so no spoilers :D

ok so we went to watch at kallang leisure park since it houses the only film garde -.- then after the show we left and then we walked out then is the carpark ma then the carpark was like FULL. we were like why are there so many cars? klp also not so crowded. then i realised OH ANDY LAU! ok so we missed the bus, so i ran over to listen to a song and back and still no bus so we took a cab to supper. yay i heard andy lau live. oh big deal -.-

today i hardened my heart and packed most of my soft toys into big bags to donate because the soft toys take up soooooooooo much space. i only kept the giraffes one and my favourite teddy bear. ok so those who gave me soft toys and im donating them away please dun be angry. i'm doing a good deed and so are you (indirectly). let more kids have a happy xmas :D yay i love kids. anybody who gets me more softtoys i will box you. i did cardio combat ok. haha.

ok since you can't get me soft toys here are some things you can get me. linjunjie's concert tix. i want the most expensive tickets thankyou. or u can get me a pair of good running shoes. then you can be part of my journey towards 21km :D hahahahahahaha.

ok i'm just joking. all i need is companions. heh.

Ok so it’s back to work for me today. Had to clear my work before gng for cruise on Sunday. The person I was replacing returned from her long term mc so im covering another person who’s on mc until end of the year. Then she come back and im gone. And there’s another temp staff. She’s friendlier than the Indian girl. She’s called kaiting (woah june). And she’s waiting for her a lvl results. she takes cll. No wonder we click. We both love Chinese and have a fabulous grasp of the chinese language.

After work went down to have family dinner. Historical moment, rmb? So got dinner. 41 pple turned up cos some of them couldn’t make it due to work and stuff. It’s like a lot of things to clear after many days of leave. But yah 41 pple break record alrdy I think.

And then my uncle ask my cousin to ask her friend to come take picture for us. He didn’t want the normal camera. He wanted the pro camera. So we took pictures. My camwhoring skills is in the genes. Not my fault.

Then after dinner we went to the airport cos my 7th uncle had to go back to Holland cos there’s a festival this wkend. I forgot what’s the name but it’s only in Holland and it’s quite cute. Ok digress. Yah so at the airport we camwhored. There were many pple staring but we ren duo shi zhong so we win. Haha.

Yah if I were my uncle, I wouldn’t want to go back. It’s like so many pple go and song4 ji1. will she bu de one ma. But he has to work so no choice. And my other uncles and aunts and cousins who flew back also flying back in the next few days.

My 5th uncle is staying longer though. Cos he wants to spend more time with his grandson who is like uber cute. Seriously. He is 2 and I’m saying he is uber cute, so he has to be. He likes me. He only wanted me to carry him today.

Oh digress awhile. There was one day he went up to my hse with another cousin of mine. Then when my cousin went to the toilet I carried him then hugo see I carry him nv carry him then hugo jealous and tried to bite his shoes off. Good thing I tall.

Ok so yah I wonder when will be the next time the 12 siblings will get together again…

Oh and 12 siblings is 10 brothers 2 sisters. Shi xiong di u knw. My father is the youngest so is the cry a lot one. Heh.

Pictures when I get them and I realise I didn’t blog about standard chartered. So many things happened in the past week. Hard to digest. But aiya it was crap. Go read jolene’s blog.

Ok so my grandmother’s funeral lasted for a week, from 27/11 to 3/12. it was held at the void deck beside my blk cos my father is the youngest son. Tradition has it that the funeral be held either at the oldest or youngest son and the oldest son is in Holland so yah.

It wasn’t a happy occasion (DUH!) but it somehow helped to bring the family together. There was nv a “gathering” like that. So I suppose sth good out of sth bad? Baaah I dunno wad im talking about. But u get my gist.

so it was basically just hosting the people who came to pay their respects and playing cards and playing mahjong and eating and eating and eating. Seriously. Everybody (ok fine, the females) complained they put on weight.

Ok i dun wan to go to the details but I really think this funeral (I know it’s supposed to be a sad occasion, and it is) brought the family tgt. All my uncles from Holland flew back. Like ALL. Including my 5th uncle whom I’ve only seen once for 2 mins because we happen to just zhuang4 dao4 at bugis (he came back to visit his children a few years back). And my 6th uncle whom my mother said ive seen when I was 3. or was it my 5th uncle? aiya the main idea is I have no idea how they look like until like a few days back.

And it’s like the first time in my family history that the 12 siblings appeared together at the same time at the same place. First time leh. Cos my 1st and 3rd uncle left for Holland when my ah ma was still pregnant with my father. Then subsequently a few more went over also. And they do come back but nv at the same time. So yah my father is 45 years, so it’s like 45 years since all siblings were together. Historical moment.

And as for me, the amount that I talk to some of my cousins in this week is like more than what I’ve talked to them for my entire life so far before the funeral.

Ok enough about the historical moments.

Everything was quite ok, I supposed things went smoothly. Except that we needed extra tables, extra drinks, extra fridge, extra fans, extra peanuts, extra lights… cos my family is like erm huge. Then all the like in-laws and friends came to pay respects so yah. and we needed to buses to fetch us to the mandai crematorium place. Not mini bus hor. Big bus.

The emotional moments were the first prayer on the night when my ah ma passed away and the final prayer on the last night of the funeral and the last day. The last day was the worse. Cos u knw, it’s the final journey for my ahma.

Oh yah and when all the brothers and sisters were there together. Especially when my 5th and 6th uncle returned. Cos it’s like yah those 2 are the most mo sheng ones. Then we were like counting 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12. like finally can finish counting. It was quite weird having to call them uncles at first cos it’s like “erm I dunno u leh”. But it was fine cos the thing about the siblings is that they sure look like some other sibling. Yah so there was the 胡家 look.

But my uncle said that we shldnt be too sad because my ah ma lived a long life, have so many children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She lived a blessed life.
